MARCHIONESS COSTUME,
the dress is long, cut to the waist with a pointed yoke in front and a small square neckline. The sleeves are tightened, cut at the elbow and trimmed with a ruffle of lace. The skirt is very gathered with a front yoke. The set is accented with knots and ruches.

take a plain and glossy fabric: satin, sateen, faille, taffeta.
Choose pastel colors: yellow, green, beige, pink and contrasting with the satin ribbon used to make the knots (purple knots on pink dress, pale green knots on beige dress etc. ...). The ruche will be of satin, in a matching or contrasting color. The bottom of the hips is in lace (eg "broderie anglaise") or made with satin of the dress.
