MATADOR's COSTUME,
Spencer,
short and waisted with long sleeves. The front is open and is decorated with a gold braid.
Trousers,
cut below the knee, with small pleats on the front mounted under the yoke of waist large and high.
CORSAIR's COSTUME,
The top,
very short, is tied on the front. The sleeves are long and gathered at the wrist. Wrists and neck are ruffled.
The trousers are the same as that of the matador.
Recommended fabrics and fashion ideas
The matador: the set has to be achieved preferably plain in a glossy satin.
The spencer can be embellished with gold braid, sequins, various patterns to accentuate the style.
For a flamenco dancer costume, just leave the jacket without decoration and wear the set with a shirt or a t-shirt with false jabot. You can enhance the waist with a belt formed of a knotted scarf or a rectangle of fabric.
The Corsair: the top is plain colored cotton while the sleeves are white cotton to simulate a shirt. Buy a ready-to-use ruffle to decorate ("broderie anglaise or cheaper: an edge of curtain).
Additional details: a scarf tied around the head and a blindfold to hide one eye.
